I have something in common with Steve Martin. Yes, that Steve Martin. Comedian, actor, banjo player, author. Yes, that “wild and crazy guy.”

We are like two peas in a pod.

If you are reading this, maybe you have read my brief bio, or something else I’ve posted on Medium. You have probably settled on the banjo. You think I can play the banjo.

You are wrong.

OK, we may not have that much in common.

Why don’t you share your political views?

In a recent interview, Steve Martin stated, “I have no interest in vitriol.” He was referring to politics.

I am the same. I also have no interest in vitriol.

It’s time for conversations about solutions, conversations about positive actions to make change. Change that is desperately needed.

It takes two.

No one person (i.e. president) can make the changes. The population is divided. One side cannot bully the other into what they think is right.

Both sides must work together. Both sides must listen. Both sides must work hard to find and build on common ground.

Get to work.

Steve may practice his banjo tonight or write a comedy sketch.

I am going to make an action plan. Something I can do weekly or daily to make the changes we need in our country now.

Of course, Steve may do that too.
