Who Was Voted In Or Out?
My election night was spent quietly reading.
Our internet provider informed us of an outage in the area yesterday at 2:00 p.m. They said it should be back on by today at 6:30 a.m. My phone had no data left either. OK, that’s not true. But I do have an old plan and I share data with 2 other people, so I try not to waste it. Wait, that sounds like I don’t care about the elections results, which of course I do.
My participation in the election and the results are very important. However, I do not see the need to glue myself to any kind of media that is giving minute by minute updates. The outcome of the election does not change if you watch or don’t watch results coverage.
The real work begins after all of the votes are counted and a winner is declared. Then we can start the hard work of repairing the divide in our country. Work that has to be done TOGETHER, regardless of who we voted for. This will be hard work.
So I did something for myself. I relaxed reading a novel and escaped to another world for a while.
My world is still here this morning and I am ready to go to work. Some of the election results are here too.
